  • Hi! I’m Meagan.

Things that fire me up: sunshine, upbeat music, coffee and lattes, warm summer days, the ocean, bright light, clean lines, flowers and living life.

I'm a certified wedding planner and destination wedding planner specializing in meaningful, romantic and whimsical weddings with a focus on luxe plans & unique design!

When I'm not working you can find me reading, relaxing, searching for new adventures, travelling, exercising, and sipping lattes or wine in lovely little cafes.

I'd be so thrilled if you contacted me to chat about your wedding! You can do that here!

If you’re currently planning your wedding, you may notice that the items and vendors your interested in, are way out of your budget. As much as I don’t really like this saying, you have champagne taste and a beer budget. What can you do to make sure your tastes don’t get the best of you?

  1. Be flexible with what you’re asking for. If you show your vendor a photo on pinterest, but they tell you it’s way out of your price range, be flexible with the style, quality or size of the item or package.
  2. Listen to your vendors recommendations. We truly want to help you get what you want. It’s not about trying to get you to spend more money or trying to rip you off, we are realistic with what items cost, and want to help you by making similar suggestions.
  3. Be realistic. You may love the arrangements that cost $250 each and you may be willing to do whatever you can to have those arrangements at your wedding, but it’s not worth being broke over.

Everyone wants to have a beautiful wedding, but at the end of the day you have to work with what you can afford.

wedding workshop

I’m so excited to announce a project near and dear to my heart. If you follow me on social media, you probably already know about the BOSS retreat, but in case you don’t, here is the low-down.

Firstly, I’ve always been a big supporter of continuing education and love to assist and inspire others. I believe there will always be new things to learn and that you should invest in continued growth. I myself love to attend small and intimate retreats that have a focus on building your business as well as networking and having fun. That’s exactly the kind of retreat I wanted to plan. I’ve always had to travel to attend workshops like these, so I’m so excited to be able to bring something similar here.

If you’re an industry friend, check out the information on the retreat here. We would truly love to see you and get the chance to become real friends with you!

wedding expense

“How much will my wedding cost?” While it’s a legitimate question, it’s not an easy one to answer. I can’t even begin to tell you how many phone calls and emails I get with just this one question. But the truth is, there is no “one” answer. A wedding can cost as little or as much as you want to spend.

How many people will you have at your wedding?

What kind of wedding do you want to have. What is the style, what kind of food do you want to serve, what kind of venue do you want to have your wedding in?

Ultimately, this comes down to how much you’re willing or able to spend.

be adverturous

One of my goals for 2015 is to live adventurously. This doesn’t mean I have to go on big adventures everyday, it just means do things outside of my normal day. While I am planning a trip to London, living adventurously also means switching things up, trying new things and getting out there.

It’s February, the worst month in my opinion. We’re sick of winter, we are craving sunshine and warmth yet we don’t want to leave our homes. So I encourage you to do something thrilling. Go on an adventure or try something new. Stop waiting for the perfect time or for someone to do it with, just go and do.

What will you do this month that’s different from how you usually do things? Leave a comment below to join the discussion!
